In Frisian ship and yacht building the focus is on classification society approval and on aluminium work to EN 1090-3. In machine building and supply, ISO 3834 and qualifications covering a broad range are more common.

What an assignment looks like

An assignment in Friesland often starts with a workshop visit, because we are close by and that costs little. In a morning it is usually clear which qualifications exist, which are missing and where the procedure book does not match the work.

A typical route starts with a half hour conversation about what is at stake, followed by a review of the existing documents. That produces a concrete plan: which qualifications are needed, which documents are missing and in what order that is resolved. Execution follows after that.
